Claudia is the Creative Director of Claudia Paz Lighting Studio in Lima, Peru.  She is anIALD Professional Member, an IES Member and a Certified Lighting Designer (CLD).

She is passionate about her life and work with Light, which is demonstrated in her designs were the lighting is translated to an experience. Her focus is in the idea to connect light, emotions and people through playing with light.  Her main goal is seeing a smile in people’s faces. 

As and architect for her career and lighting designer as her profession, she has more than 15 years dedicated to Light, always searching for new creative ways to use light and generate emotions in people.

Her presentation asks "What if ... ?  A bridge to creativity..."

She says "While we are moving forward to the “new normal”, we notice there are two important focus points for lighting projects, one related to wellness and the second but not less important related to emotions.

If we think in wellness, we begin to think in lighting as efficiency, functionality and safety located in schools, offices, health centers and interior public areas, even in our homes where now we work.
Technology allow us to design thinking in the circadian rythm, UV light, sensors, solar panels, control systems, etc.

By the other hand, my heart lead me to think about projects that will focus in the emotional wellness, where you can make people feel free, happy, inspired, and positive.

At home, in the streets, in public spaces... and more! Its already happening and we will discuss about it in this presentation."
